Buston Potatoes

The Park family have been farming at Buston, near Alnwick in Northumberland since 1965. Each year, in addition to wheat and oilseed rape, a number of different varieties of potatoes are grown.

Working with nature is important value of Buston Potatoes, and they have been a member of the Environmental Stewardship scheme since 2009. They also have a budding educational outreach scheme and work with local schools. 

Around half the crops are grown as seed potatoes; the remainder are what’s known as 'ware' and are sold to the public either direct from the farm or through wholesalers.
