The Ship Inn- Holy Island

The ship Inn, public house and B&B is located in the Marygate area of the picturesque Holy Island which is perfectly situated for those visiting Lindisfarne Castle or the harbour. The Inn has a long history, as there has been a public house located on this part of the island for several hundred years has been under the ownership of Andrew and Janice Hnat since 2005 and proudly achieved a 4 star rating English Tourist Council Award.

Whether locals, tourists or the casual “passer by” the inn offers a warm welcome whether to sample its traditional ales, wines, spirits or good home cooked food. Meals can be enjoyed in a pleasant relaxing atmosphere or if fair weather prevails visitors can enjoy the landscaped beer garden where well-behaved dogs are welcome. Don't forget to check the daily tide schedule as it can disrupt your arrival or departure from the island.
